Installation and activation

1. Install and activate WooCommerce and WooCommerce Subscriptions.
2. Install Renew Forge. Download the free plugin from the pricing section of renewforgewp.com (Free plugin — download the zip: a direct download from https://api.avakode.com/releases/renewforge/free until the WordPress.org listing is live) or from the Downloads page of your Avakode account, and upload the zip under Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin; then activate it.
3. Open Renew Forge → Compliance check and work through the items.
4. Adjust the button, the summary box and the cancellation email in Renew Forge → Settings and under WooCommerce → Settings → Emails.
5. For Pro: upload the Renew Forge Pro zip from your Avakode account, activate it, and enter the licence key under Renew Forge → Licence. Then switch on the features you want on their screens.

Everything lives under Renew Forge in the WordPress admin menu. The free plugin adds Compliance check, Journal and Settings; Pro adds Reminders, Cooling-off & checkout, SMS, Refunds, Evidence export and Licence. Every screen needs the manage_woocommerce capability (the people who run the shop).

The free plugin schedules nothing on activation; its only background task is the retry of a confirmation email that failed to send. Without WooCommerce Subscriptions the Compliance check, the Journal and the Settings still open, the check says what is missing, and nothing touches a subscription until WooCommerce Subscriptions is active.
